  • Case & Document Management:
    • Filing, organizing, and indexing digital case files and exhibits.
    • Managing document deadlines and court calendars.
    • Uploading and categorizing documents into your Practice Management Software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, etc.).
    • Converting and preparing documents for e-filing.
  • Administrative & Scheduling Support:
    • Managing and maintaining attorney calendars and deadlines.
    • Coordinating and scheduling client meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
    • Handling email correspondence and responding to routine inquiries.
    • Preparing expense reports and managing virtual office logistics.
  • Drafting & Legal Writing Support:
    • Preparing initial drafts of pleadings, motions, and standard legal forms (non-substantive review).
    • Formatting and proofreading legal briefs, agreements, and correspondence for clarity and accuracy.
    • Drafting client communication and engagement letters.
    • Creating and updating form libraries and templates.
  • Billing & Client Intake (New Business) Support:
    • Processing new client intake forms, data entry, and file creation.
    • Generating and tracking client invoices and managing accounts receivable follow-up.
    • Maintaining detailed records of billable time and expense entries.
    • Performing preliminary conflict checks.
  • Legal Research Assistance:
    • Conducting targeted legal research using platforms like Westlaw or LexisNexis (under attorney direction).
    • Compiling relevant case law, statutes, and secondary source materials for a specific issue.
    • Summarizing deposition transcripts and discovery responses.
